What is a Mailgram?
A Mailgram is a type of telegram that is delivered through the mail instead of by messenger. Because Mailgrams go through a telegram service, the message is stored on a computer for 7 years and can be verified. Mailgrams cost less than messenger-delivered telegrams, so they are used for business messaages like product recalls that are important, but do not need to be delivered the same day. Mailgrams are also used for social greetings and sympathy messages.
Mailgram service began 50 years ago, in 1970. You can still send a Mailgram in the USA and Canada: https://t.co/nckLths17p pic.twitter.com/rqmFoOCSuu
